Healing a Broken Heart
How to Mend a Broken Heart

                                                 Healing a Broken Heart

Healing a Broken HeartDid you and your lover or spouse just have a big argument that caused the two of you to split up? If you were involved in a happy loving relationship and somehow let it slip through your fingers because of a major disagreement, have no fear. Healing a broken heart and getting your sweetheart back is not that difficult if you have a good understanding of human nature and a proven plan of action.

As human beings, each one of us grew up in a unique social and physical environment; therefore, it’s normal to have differences of opinion regarding a variety of issues with our significant other. Rare indeed is the relationship where both the man and woman agree on everything.

But what we have to understand is that an argument is just that…an argument. It is nothing more than a difference of opinion. I like red, he likes blue. I like my pizza with sausage and mushrooms; she likes her pizza with pepperoni.

If an argument (difference of opinion) has caused you to suffer a break up, healing a broken heart and  getting your beloved back should be at the top of your priority list.  Therefore ask yourself the following questions:

1. Is the argument we had really that important?

2. Should we have argued about this issue at this particular time?

3. What will change if I win or he or she wins the argument?

4. And most importantly, is this even worth arguing about?

Sadly, 99% of all differences of opinion are not worth the emotional stress we engender. What happens all too often is that we stray from the subject matter and bring up old issues, or resort to name-calling, or relive resolved past issues.

To paraphrase what Dr. Wayne Dyer has often said, "it doesn’t matter who’s right or wrong in an argument, what’s important is that you always, always, always be nice!" That’s right. The argument is not what’s important. What’s important is our treatment of each other!.

A year from now it won’t matter who was right or who was wrong. In fact you probably won’t even remember what the argument was about, but you will remember the emotion and drama that was attached to it.

If you engage in a heated argument, stick to the cold hard facts. Discuss the issue and only this issue. And if you do suffer a broken heart because your boyfriend, girlfriend, or spouse got emotionally involved and stormed out, relax and remain calm. Getting your ex beloved back will require some planning and healing a broken heart will take some time.

The best thing to do is to just let him or her cool off. After a few days, you’ll both realize that the argument was insignificant. This cooling off period will also remove the stress that was associated with the breakup. So give him or her and yourself some time. Then the two of you can discuss things in a more rational and unemotional manner, and probably get a good laugh about the stupid insignificant thing you argued about.

Healing a broken heart is very possible because most breakups can be rectified if you and your lover simply get back together after a few days, and discuss your difference of opinion in a cool, calm, and rational manner. Acting lovingly to each other should be your primary objective if you want to reignite the passion and love that existed in your relationship.
