If you’re just starting to date or have re-entered the dating world due to a divorce  or break up, here are 5 must do things on a first date, if you ever want to get a second date. Some people enjoy dating, others dread it like the plague.  But if you dream of finding your soul mate, you’re going to have to go out there and date women. It’s just like buying a new home. You might have to look at 10-20 homes, or even more, to find the one that’s just right for you. And there is someone out there for you. Believe it!

Here are the 5 Must Do Things on a First Date:

#1.  The first thing you must do is be prompt! If you are going to pick up your date at 7:30, be there no later than 7:30. It’s better to arrive 15 minutes early and wait in your car for a few minutes, than to be 5 minutes late. If you’re late, what does this tell your date about you? It tells her that she’s not important to you, otherwise you would be on time.  So don’t make this mistake! It could ruin your whole evening.

#2.  The second of the five must do things on a first date is to show up properly attired. Don’t show up in a pair of old jeans and sneakers. Women love men who are neatly dressed and groomed. After you’re married you can run around the house in tattered jeans and sneakers, but not when you’re dating! It’s hard to believe how many guys don’t understand this simple concept.

#3.  Show up at her house with some flowers. It doesn’t have to be a $50 bouquet of roses. Even a single rose or a bunch of daisies will make her feel special. It’s not the flowers that are important. It’s the message you convey. It tells your date that you are caring and thoughtful. It also tells your date that you think she’s important and worthy of a bouquet of flowers. Women love flowers. Never forget that!

#4.  Women are not men. They don’t think that burping and farting are funny! These are disgusting to most women. They also don’t want to hear about your ex girlfriend or ex wife, or the many conquests you have mounted. Make the date about her. Make her feel like she is the only one for you. When you go out in public, don’t look at other women. Keep your eyes on her only. She’ll love your for it!

#5.  And finally, women love men that make them laugh. You don’t have to be outrageous and act like a clown, but be prepared with some funny clean jokes, or some amusing news stories. There’s always something funny or ridiculous in the news every day. Share these with your date. Not only will she think your engaging and humorous, but that you also keep abreast of world events.

Gentlemen, these are five must do things on a first date. However, it doesn’t mean that your date will be a success every time, but it will at least engender an excellent start, and hopefully more dates will follow, providing of course that you found this woman desirable. But having a second date with this woman should be your choice not hers.
